Christmas 2010 Recap

I cannot believe another Christmas has come & gone...just like that. It's like when you get married, sorta... you spend hours upon hours, day after day, prepping...planning...organizing...creating - for just one single day. Then it's all over, in a blink of an eye.

Anyway, I anticipated Kapri would have an incredibly amazing time ripping open all her presents... however we had a little sicky on our hands. The common cold has made its way through our house, one person at a time... so I think it's just been lingering. Kapri has had a runny nose forever it seems, then Christmas eve proved to be pretty bad for her. She had a low grade fever of 101-ish, and was just suuuuper fussy & whinny almost all day. Grammy Mary & Aunt Manda/Uncle Steve dropped by for a bit, but it was short lived as Kapri was pretty much out like a light bulb by 6:30 - crazy right?!!

She was doing better this morning - but then we had 6 other family members over at our house to spend the day together...along with this incredible dish:

so YUM!!!
Oh, and daddy James made our little princess her own special snowman pancake...how cute is this?!!

I think she was really overwhelmed by people & gifts...it was a bit intense. She barely napped this afternoon...my family is quite loud when we all get together ;-)... But now she's sound asleep, nothing a good dose of meds & some lullabies on repeat can't take care of. Now James & I are hangin together on the couch with some milk & cookies, watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas...love it.

She got lots of great gifts including clothes, books, princess slippers, mini Disney princess figurines, an adorable 'Ariel' zip up hoodie with her name embroidered in it...a Toys R Us gift card, a rocking horse (complete with galloping/neighing sounds), a super cool/super fun AquaDoodle, and a full on doll set (with dolly, stroller, bed, & convertible swing/highchair & play food). The big gift was an awesome art easel with a dry erase board on one side and a chalk board on the other...and 3 little hanging baskets in-between to hold all the art 'paraphernalia' - she's like a mini Picasso, I'm telling you!
