Trick or TrEEEEat!

Longest. day. ever! I thought Saturday was busy with 2 birthdays...today was wayyy more jammed.

James & I both took Halloween day off to spend with Kapri running all over the place. She woke up around 8am, we snuggled for a bit in our bed as we chatted about all the fun things that were planned for the day.

I started to get ready and James took her down for breakfast...then I got her primped & prepped in her pretty princess Belle costume, and finally jumped in the car to head to her preschool for a Halloween party they were hosting. Surprised we actually made it out of the house on time, by 9:15!!

I also brought in a bunch of Halloween Pumpkin Funfetti Cake Pops for everyone to enjoy! Amanda & I slaved over them the night before (same night as pumpkin carving) - I just cannot even handle the level of cuteness of these little guys!! A majority got brought to my work for the Halloween festivities, but I made sure to save enough for all K's school buds:
I was hoping to do pumpkin faces on them all...but the damn food pen was NOT happening - just getting one done was hard enough! Boo

The kids all looked so cute dressed up and it was so cool to see Kapri with all her buddies having fun. Too bad her freakin crown would NOT stay on her head...ahh well. At school they had fun indoor 'Halloween' inspired activities, a cute little mini-sized jumpy outside, got read a spooky Halloween story by one of the teachers...and finished the morning with a pizza lunch:

We left shortly after to have a little mini-brunch date all by ourselves, that's a rare thing these days ;-)

After picking her up around noon, we tried to have her take a little nap before the next outing...but that was a total fail.

So we got her dressed again & headed to my work for some light trick-or-treating and our annual Ice Cream Social. This was her 3rd year attending - here's here first and her second.

She also got to see her good friend Arden, who she's pretty much grown up with! A was dressed as princess Rapunzel from Tangled - just recently saw that movie with K & we loved it BTW!

Then we went back home to rest (no full nap again!) & eat a little food before our next & final outing.

I seriously have more fun watching K go Trick or Treating, than I had actually doing it myself when I was younger.

Seeing her happy & excited for something fun like this just makes me happy! This year we met up with some old high school friends and all their kiddos to walk the neighborhood & collect the goods!! After every house she's say "Need more mamma...more candy" - I have NO clue how many times she said this...it was a broken record no joke.

And she was definitely a bit on the groggy side, since we had 2 failed attempts at a nap. But we made it through. She even told me when she needed to potty and thank god we just happened to stop off at one of the kids' grandparents house...phew! I was curious how that'd play out this year!

She was a little apprehensive about going up to houses, especially the 'spooky' ones as she called them. Next year when she's older, she'll probably (hopefully!) be more receptive to it, not being as skeptical to knock on doors or not being as quiet while saying "Trick or Treeeeeattt!!" - but we'll see. I'm sad we didn't get more pics...but I don't have a camera at the moment, and my iPhone wasn't cutting it...ahh well.

2nd Annual Pumpkin Carving Night-In

Tonight we had over Auntie Manda & Uncle 'Feve' to do some pumpkin decorating. Unlike last year, Kapri was able to help & create her own little pumpkin masterpiece. I love this age. She was so amped to glue & glitter her own little crazy-eyed guy:
I just love that 'witch-body' apron!
We sipped yummy pumpkin ale beers while we carved away and scooped out all the seeds to bake with garlic salt & cayenne pepper - sooo good & mega addicting!
And after many hours...especially for James'...here's the final products...the bottom left is a monogrammed "M" with gold push pins and glue swirlies sprinkled with black glitter (inspired by this). The bottom right is a mini pumpkin in a lace stocking tied with a silver & black ribbon bow (inspired by this)...so fun (I credit Pinterest pics for some fun ideas!)

Don't they look cool all lit up on our outdoor ledge? James' is 1st, on the far left (evil pumpkin), Steve's is 2nd (spooky face), mine is 3rd (kitty bat...with glitter glue eyelashes & lipstick!), and Amanda's is on the right (2 ghosts...one with a mustache and the other with eyelashes and an "O" face, haha!)
Love our fun nights together like this! xoxo

iTan Recap - Week 5 / 6

Well, I've decided to lump the last few iTAN blog entries into 2 weeks each, instead of one a week. There's not much really to report on that's vastly different or new. Combined with my full time job, part time side biz, full time mommy/wife duties, and just life in general - family, friends, holidays, events, etc....it's exhausting to say the least.

In all honesty it is a bit hard trying to fit in going to an iTAN salon pretty much every day, or at least 5-6 times a week. After a month of doing just that, I think it wore me out - sounds silly actually - being able to lie there in a bed/booth & just relax should be easy, haha! Don't get me wrong, it's FAB and I absolutely love having an all-access pass to use any & all services at my leisure - very grateful to iTAN for this experience!!

So the one new thing to report is that I finally tried the VersaSpa!! I hadn't been yet because the only 2 salons that have this service are a bit out of my way.

But after seeing that Adrienne Maloof had it IN her house (worth almost $40K to own!!) for 'spa day' on a recent episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills...I knew I needed to make the effort to test it out!

I had heard all sorts of wonderful things about it, like the color is more of a natural bronze, rather than an orangey tint - it's basically the same as the Mystic spray tan, but has an anti-aging formula as well. It's not warm like the Mystic HD, but it's suuuuper fast! Gotta love that. It doesn't have a door like the Mystic, so don't get confused when you get in and cannot locate one to close, haha!
Because I was running a ton of errands, I wasn't thinking & should have done before/after pics...so I'll have to do that before the 10 weeks are up. ;-)

I love how my skin looks with a spray tan, my makeup even seems to go on better! It also does a great job covering those slight 'imperfections' like uneven skin tone, cellulite, stretch marks, and even lightly masking dark veins - like the small cluster of spider veins I have on my upper thigh. That'd be a good before/after pic too! So overall it really makes you feel more toned or slimmer...a visual trick that spray tan manufacturers are making BANK on! haha

Spray tanning really is the way to go...it's the safer alternative to roasting in a UV tanning booth many times a week to get the same color. It's completely UV-free, gives you great color within a few hours (or ask for the instant bronzer during the session to have an immediate glow after) and lasts about a week with proper care - especially if you use the VersaSpa Amplifier gel:
I definitely liked it - not sure the color was much different from what I get with a Mystic Tan - I do like how quick it is, though I also like the warmth of the Mystic more than the cold VersaSpa....however I did feel like I was dryer after the session with the Versa - even though it was cold - as odd as that sounds.

Try it out one day...You won't be disappointed!

Back-2-Back Bday Parties

whew...what. a. DAY!

Kapri & I had such a wonderfully busy day ...spent with friends, celebrating 2 adorable little "A" girls...one turning 2 and the other turning 1. Of course as gifts, I made them both their own unique Crayolls:

First up was the 2 yr old's bday party in the morning - the kids were asked to come in their fav dress up outfit OR their Halloween outfit, such a great idea! I knew K would spend most her time playing at the park, so I didn't want her to ruin her Belle dress. So I asked her which tutu she wanted to wear - she picked black/pink, so I pinned a little "princess" button to her shirt, draped a little necklace on her, put her hair up in pigtails & off we went.

They had so much fun at this "Minney Mouse" inspired birthday day - complete with the bday girl dressed up as Minnie, a Minnie candy-filled pinata and of course yummy Minney cupcakes!

whoa...picture overload!! haha

Then we headed home for a little snooze!

Next up - was to celebrate Ava's 1st bday party in the afternoon - at my fav beach, Moonlight.
haha, cheesiest CHEESE face ever.

A's mamma, Alex & I practically grew up on this beach -- if you've read my past posts (like here, here, here & Kapri jamming out here)...you'd be well aware that this is like my home away from home. Many special memories here.

The kids played, we ate some more yummy food...and more yummy cupcakes - then K & I walked closer to the beach to watch a beautiful sunset. And finally, we all sat around a big bonfire while mamma Alexandria opened up Ava's gifts. So glad they're living here at the moment so I could be a part of A's 1st bday...love this fam!!

Welcome little Jack!

My girlfriend Nic, who I made the Classic Pooh themed diaper cake for, finally had her little bundle of love... Jack - she chose not to find out the gender & be surprised in the hospital...ahhh, I could never do that! But she did....and he is finally here & adorable as can be.
Of course as soon as I heard she was going to the hospital, I waited on pins & needles to find out if it was a girl or boy. I wanted to bring a more 'gender-specific' gift, seeing as everything she's been gifted with already is either cream, yellow or green. Once I read 'boy' on my text Saturday morning (his actual due date!), I immediately got to work on a special onesie I've been dying to make.

Behold the insanely cute....insanely EASY necktie onesie that was the result of more inspiration from Pintrest (& I'll be adding it to my Custom from Calista collection BTW!) - I love it! He didn't at that moment captured below, because we unwrapped his cozy swaddle - but it'll be cute on him in just a few short months!
Along with the onesie, I gifted the new parents with a "Hospital Survival Kit" (thanks again Pinterest - got printables here!!!)
Nature Valley Bars, Goldfish, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Yogurt Pretzels, Face Wipes, Chapstick, Hair band/ties/pins, Tissues & Altoids

Congrats Nic & Ky...I'll be bringin you some homemade "Mejia Style" Chicken Enchiladas soon!!!!! xoxo

Pumpkin Patch 2011

It's pumpkin time! Kapri was soooo excited to go to the pumpkin patch this year...well, she actually knew what it was this year, haha. She'd see a smaller one on the way to/from preschool, but I kept telling her we'd be going to a different one that was a little bigger, with more rides. So she was anxious everyday!

Finally we went on Friday after work, which I think was an amazing idea, because most people we're probably still sitting in icky rush hour traffic (I'm off by 3) - so the place was nearly empty when we arrived! We took a quick family pic, bought some ride tickets & were on our way.

The place we go to is called the Pumpkin Station - the Del Mar location. We discovered it last year and I'm hooked. 2 years ago when Kapri was just 5 months old, we went to Bates Nut Farm - but that place was a. too crowded, b. far, c. had longest line to get into parking, and d. was about 100 degrees. No thanks.

We did the typical rides as last year - the train she was able to do by herself this time, yay big girl! Dad still took her on the carousel, and she also went down a big inflatable slide by herself after some coaching from us below! She loves the petting area...this time we went with Auntie Sisi, who actually caught & held a chicken to let K pet it - so crazy!
Then Sisi took Kapri on the spinning cups - O...M...G....the most hilarious thing to watch. ever. Kapri kept putting her head back and making a funny/dizzy face...and the faster Sisi would spin the wheel, the faster it spun, and K just had a huge grin on her face.
Finally we picked out a few pumpkins & were on our way - love the pumpkin patch!

Finally feels like fall

When I was younger...like, still in school younger - I LOVED summer...what kid wouldn't?? No school, no homework, no tests, no teachers....summer was THE best time of year for any age school kid.

Things have shifted a bit for me, as those dreaded school years have slipped into a distant memory. Fall has quickly become my new fav time of year. The weather is starting to cool off, but not as chilly as winter....perfect for fuzzy scarves, thick socks & tall boots...hot chocolate & warm apple pies....crackling fires & cozy blankets.
all pics courtesy of Pinterest

Also of course, Halloween, Thanksgiving......and my birthday ;-)

I've gotten some fall-ish touches up around the house...can't wait to add more fun decor, as we get closer to Thanksgiving, when we'll be hosting a yummy traditional turkey dinner for the very first time...hope we don't burn the main dish, eek!

Anyway - in addition to my burlap wreath, button pumpkin & mod podged frame...I have added:
  • a fabric pumpkin that I made from an old linen tie bag, stuffing, a stick from outside and fake fall colored leaves.
  • a centerpiece that I created for about $5.... $1 glass container from Walmart, $1 bag of mini cinnamon-scented pine cones, $1 bag of mini plastic pumpkins, $1 cream/brown/green fake flowers, & $1 bunch of greenery....all from Michael's!!
  • a "Spooky" sign hanging on our screen door and a "BOO!" porcelain pumpkin with fall leaves on our outdoor shelf, both from the dollar store (sometimes buying it pre-made is cheaper than DIY!)
  • and a scrapbook paper bunting banner, that I hung up around my little cube at work.
I now lovvvve fall/autumn!!! Within a month, my house will be totally decked out for turkey day, yippee!! Thank you Pinterest for never, ever failing to give me so many inspiring ideas!

OH...and really quick...on that note of being inspired, I created my very first 'subway-style' art for this time of year using Picnic...cannot wait to frame this & put it up somewhere! Download your own copy here!

What your to-do list is probably missing...

I just watched the TODAY show interview with Giuliana Rancic, announcing she's been diagnosed with breast cancer. W. T. F.?! So freakin sad. I hate hearing news like this - whether it's from someone I know personally or otherwise.

What devastating news to hear when you're giving your all over many years, into trying to conceive a child. I just love G - her show gives us a glimpse into her life - her marriage is so cute, her job is AWEsome, her personality cracks me up and her style is "amazeballs" (as she would say!).

Something she said during that interview really struck me...it was so simple, but incredibly powerful...I decided to make a little printout via Picnik to put up in my cube... perhaps even in my bathroom so I can see it everyday....just as a little reminder. Download a copy here!

Color palette inspired by Giuliana's website - love!
This not only applies to getting tested for breast cancer and other cancers....but it's also a good motto to live by - from the food we eat, how often we exercise, how often we rest our bodies, etc. As she said in that interview - we as women, take on SOOOO much, we're just so busy nowadays. Putting ourselves on the to-do list shouldn't be a distant thought - it should be priority #ONE! If we're not well ourselves, how can we take care of other things, other people, other 'priorities'??

iTan Recap - Week 4

4 weeks down, 6 to go...

Have I really been doing this a whole MONTH?! It's crazy to think that I first started this process on Sept. 17, and things are going great! This week I've decided to highlight the Beauty Angel - this stand up, skin rejuvenation booth is a quick (only 12 minutes!) & easy way to get firmer, younger looking skin & tone up those weak muscles.

 Beauty Angel Benefits:
• Rejuvenation Therapy (so good to use this AFTER a tanning session)
• Visibly reduces appearance of wrinkles and fine lines (yes please)
• Reduces pore size
• Makes the skin visibly tighter, firmer and smoother (I'll take that!)
• Reduces the damaging effects of environmental influences

 Platform Body Vibration Benefits:
• Reduces the appearance of cellulite (is this a dream?!)
• Stimulates circulation
• Tightens connective tissue
• Relieves muscle tension (ahh, feels good for sore muscles!)

Just before starting your session, remove all clothing & jewelry & pin up your hair. It is also recommended to apply the Beauty Angle Effect spray all over your body....then slip on your little protective goggles & jump in!
The red lighting in the BA room didn't really agree with my iPhone 4 cam, haha
There are 4 different levels to choose from once you start the Beauty Angel:

Level 1 - is good for relaxation
Level 2 - is good for beginners
Level 3 - is good for increasing circulation
Level 4 - is good for reducing the appearance of cellulite  (**I do this one each time of course - GO AWAY DIMPLES!!**)

You can adjust the fan, music, music volume and of course the levels mentioned above. Then you just hang on to the 2 little ropes up top and enjoy the ride! The vibrating plate varies in speeds throughout the 12-minute session...so it's definitely good to hang on tight so it doesn't catch you off guard when it speeds up.

I've noticed that when the plate is vibrating at a slower pace, it's best to stand almost completely straight... (don't lock your knees though...you've seen bridesmaids/groomsmen pass out & fall over during a wedding ceremony right? yeahhhh...don't lock your knees!)...anyway...I tend to feel my upper leg muscles contracting when keeping my legs almost totally straight. Then when it speeds up faster, I bend my knees a tad bit more and I really feel it all over my thighs/butt/hips.

The whole time I just envision the excess fat melting, well...jiggling itself away in this nifty little booth! It's definitely helping my legs out, gotta feel good in my skinnies sooner than later!!  ;-)
Like that 'excited' face up top...yeah, good times in the Beauty Angel - teehee!!

Burlap Mania

I have developed a major love for burlap. I have a whole pin board dedicated to it! I've had a TON on hand since I made Kapri's growth chart back in March. I actually forgot about it...until recently - which explains the burlap button pumpkin. I also had a $.99 wreath that was mega sad & lonely. Burlap was its rescuer!
This literally took me about 30 minutes (fabric flowers were previously made and waiting for a good home) to make last night. I just used 4 long, 3 to 4 inch wide pieces of burlap - 1 was used to wrap around the wreath...and the other 3 were sewn together to form one looooong string, then I just quickly folded over & sewed little pleats.

No pinning, no measuring...just went with it. Then I attached that with glue gun to the back of the round wreath.
I was going to add some black ribbon somewhere...to make it more "Halloween-ish"...but I really wasn't feeling it. Nor was I liking a bright green...so I went with teal for the middle of the yo-yo's. I think these are good, neutral, somewhat Halloween/fall colors.
The flowers were made a few nights ago...the big orange one was just one long strip of fabric, sewn down one side, then I pulled one end of the string to make it gather up. The 2 small "yo-yo's" were sewn by hand with this fab 2-minute video tut! Then I attached them with small squares of sticky-back Velcro, so that I could inter-change the wreath with different fabric flowers to coordinate with different seasons/holidays/etc. Smart huh?!! haha

I may want to add a little mini bunting across the middle of it...saying "Happy Halloween" or something.

And now it hangs happily on my front door. Thank you burlap!! Now what to do with you next?........

Date with firefighters ;-)

Kapri had a fun date with a few firefighters at preschool today! Although I kept her home since she's getting over a little cold, I still wanted to take her in for the per-scheduled visit from the local fire department. And of course it turned out to be one of the hottest days - like, we're talkin 20 degrees ABOVE normal. Oye.

3 of them came to visit & talk to all the kids about dailing 911 in case mommy or daddy is really sick/hurt, the dangers of fire & how to behave in the event of one, stop/drop/roll, etc. Then one of them got dressed (from head to toe) in the complete fire suit/gear. They learned not to be scared of them (the air mask they wear could be a bit scary for younger kids) when/if they ever have to come save them from a fire.

Then they got a really fun treat....to actually SIT inside their firetruck...the kids were so stoked. Kapri couldn't wait to get her plastic red fire hat & jump in, too cute!

The next day she went to school all day - where she wore her very own Fire Department t-shirt from  Grandpa (who's the fire captain at a local station down the street) and was able to share Grandpa's old fireman's hat. I hear all the other kids loved it!

I'm so impressed with this preschool & couldn't be happier with our selection. We get weekly updates from them recapping the highlights from the previous week & letting all the parents know when the next week's shape, color & letter they will be focusing on. We then have to find something for K to share that relates to either (or all) of those things. This week is "G", Orange & Triangle...Maybe I'll go pick up a small orange pumpkin at the grocery store, draw on black triangle eyes, nose, mouth....and let her glue on some gold sprinkles all over it or something, hahaha!

**UPDATE - that's exactly what we did...and it turned out PERFECTLY!!

iTan Recap - Week 3

Loving my glow right now...it's not a bronze 'spend-every-summer-day-at-the-beach' color, but it's definitely NOT a pale 'omg-middle-of-winter-casper' color either - it's a good in-between. I'm tanning in the Sun Angel (sometimes Level 5 if I'm short on time) about 2 times a week, bodywrapping 1 to 2 times a week, Beauty Angel-ing 3 times, R.L.T. 1 to 2 times, Hydrationing (yup, just made up that word) 1 time and finally, I did the Lumiere Facial 3 times this week.

I'm definitely getting into the groove of things at my 'home away from home' and have a pretty good routine down. When people know you by name at an establishment - that pretty much means you're a regular, haha...that'd be me. I'm noticing that I like to have my Sundays free to myself, and not be scheduled for an iTAN visit! So, devoting 6 days a week is pretty damn good if you ask me!

In my last post....I received a comment about product prices. So I did my research, got some help from one of the awesome ladies at the Del Mar location to get some numbers - see my video below for the full run down.

I have to say really quick that I'm somewhat disappointed with YouTube's editing options - they only give you THREE pics to choose from to by your main video thumbnail!! HOW does YouTube seems to just 'accidentally' pick the 3 most hideous frames to choose from?? ugh...So, excuse the odd looking faces I appear to be making in the shots below, sheesh!

Sign up to become an iCLUB Platinum Rewards member today & take advantage of these AWESOME perks!!

Lately I feel like I've become iTan's unofficial spokesperson/marketeer! Literally everywhere I go, everyone I talk to - I always seem to bring up at least one of iTan's amazing services. Right now, my go-to convo is about the Lumiere...love this thing. I've gotten used to the intense bright/warm like that completely engulfs your entire face for 20 minutes - and combined with the 'repairing' treatment that I finally received last Monday - my skin feels sooo amazing! It's super soft & rejuvenated after each session - what's really nice is that you can go every day if you wanted - as long as you leave at least 24 hours between sessions. So I'll continue to go about 2-3 times a week for the remainder of this 'challenge' (through the end of November).

Here's a recap of those FAB Lumiere Repairing products I've been using:

Upon receiving my Lumiere Facial products last Monday - we 'checked in' with an iTan employee to fill out some paperwork based on our personal experiences over the last 2 weeks, took a few progress pics (yikes), and even did a quick little video about our journey (double yikes). I'm still trying to get the hang of sounding like "me" in self-vids... it's hard to watch yourself - you are your own worst critic, right? Last week's vid was the final result of probably the 7th re-do - though I was more comfortable, my perfectionist side came out a bit more. Same thing happened with the vids in this post...but I was mega tired & had just done a bodywrap...so I blame those circumstances, HA!

Have a great week everyone!

Button Crafting

Not sure what's behind my latest 'button' craze - wait....actually, I blame credit Pinterest!! I definitely got a few cute crafts out of it! These are pretty easy, but definitely a bit time consuming if you're a slight perfectionist like moi. For me it was the length of one of K's naps. Done & done.

My neighbor's daughter is having a 'butterfly-themed' 2nd birthday party outside on our perfect little greenbelt this afternoon. About a week ago I decided to make a framed pink & green button butterfly with her name on it, to go along with the theme. It's adorbs. Thinkin I could add these to my CfC site?! Butterflies, flowers, ladybugs...the possibilities are endless!!

Then after that was completed, I realized I had a good amount of orange buttons - so I made a burlap button pumpkin, on an old dollar store frame I had laying around. I love burlap! Gives any project a slight rustic, charming look. What made these projects a bit time consuming is arranging all the different sized buttons in a good layout. Then once you've achieved your desired look, you just pick one up at a time, glue the button then lay it back down. Of course, a circle is much easier than the butterfly shape!

It sits atop our dining room hutch, along with some complimenting orange poppies and my handmade, scrapbook paper & mod podged frame, with pic of our little fam from last year's pumpkin patch trip ;-)
gahhh, cannot believe how small K was just a year ago!!
I have another cheapy frame that needs some love...thinkin I'll make a button "K" for Kapri's room - would be so cute on the outside of her door...hung with some pretty sheer ribbon! Now...to burlap or not to burlap...Stay tuned...thinkin it's time to make a special 'burlap' crafts Pin board now! haha

For the love of CAKE BALLS!

Man I love these little guys - they're cheap to make, people FREAK over them, and they are DAMN delicious. Though they are a bit harder to 'dip' than the pop version - but still just as yum! Actually - after I made them, I found a phenomenal little $3 tool made specifically for DIPPING things...I now own this tool & will have to test it out very very soon!

Anyway...I whipped up a batch for Nic's work baby shower - same mamma-to-be that I made the Classic Pooh themed diaper cake for! She's due in about a week or so...eeeeee, I'm so anxious!

A bunch of our co-workers pitched in for a big gift card and brought in a ton of yummy treats to celebrate before she went out on maternity leave. I was going to make these insanely delish cheesecake-stuffed strawberries I found via Pinterest (duh), but decided it'd be too time consuming the day of - since these aren't something you can make the night before...unless you LIKE soggy strawberries...ew.

So - cake balls to the rescue! I stuck with my fav flavor, red velvet cake and cream cheese frosting - though this time I only used about 3/4 of the container, instead of the whole thing! THEN, I freakin ran out of white chocolate to dip them in (had a whole bad & a half from Michaels!!) So the last few just got their upper half dipped...this actually looked like a cute idea for little Santa hat cake balls for Christmas! hummm

I also happened to find some super cute elephant 'baby shower' cards - which looked great with our little table of goodies: Mini Bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes (best ever!!), white chocolate raspberry cookie bars, fruit salad, chocolate chip cookies...and of course, my yum cake balls!

iTan Recap - Week 2

2 down, 8 weeks to go:

I have to admit I'm a little sad that 2 whole weeks have gone by...rather quickly too. I literally have been to multiple iTan locations every. single. day. for the past 15 days (except today). Isn't that nuts??!! Yeah, I definitely think so. But you know what...it really gives me a good excuse to just RELAX - something I don't do often. If I am 'relaxing' at home, I'll probably have the TV on...along with the laptop and/or iPhone very near. So really...I'm not totally relaxed.

It's days like last Monday. God I despissssse Mondays. I used to work from home on Mondays...it was a "sometimes good, sometimes not so good" balance of work & mommyhood. However, that has since been robbed from me - so I'm back at work. It's really hard & I'm still adjusting.

Last Monday was brutal.

I was stressed & overwhelmed...just a general mix of things coming from different elements.

By the end of the day the stress in my head had moved down to my lower back & it was killing me. The first thing I thought of while leaving the office was laying down & closing my eyes. My calendar said "Beauty Angel", but my body & mind said otherwise. The thought of standing upright was not my idea of relaxing. So I did the Red Light Therapy Bed, followed by the Sun Angel. Perfect solution to a pretty 'blah' day.

Let me just say, that I am in LOVE with the Sun Angel. After 20 minutes of total peace, quiet & relaxation...the soothing music, the refreshing aqua mist...the cooling body/face fans...everything was JUST what I needed. I left feeling soooo rejuvenated & relaxed...a much better way of greeting my daughter at home after a long, icky day at work.

I was also finally able to try the Hydration Station...amazing - check out my vid above for more detail. PS... please iTan, paaahhhlease...get more Hydration Stations (oh, and Beauty Angels) at your other locations...specifically Encinitas.   K?   K, thanks!

To end the week, today I was going to do another FIT Bodywrap session, but after spending a majority of the day at the beach enjoying some beautiful 'summer like' San Diego weather, getting baked, sweaty & covered in sand by Kapri... doing the whole '70-minutes-130degree-body-bag' thing didn't sound desirable. So I skipped out...for the first time so far. I kinda feel guilty!! haha...ahh well.

Tomorrow is our first official 'check in' with iTan to go over our individual progress & thoughts on all the services/products. The only thing I'm really bummed about is STILL not having the Lumiere Facial 'repairing' packets :'-(  Hopefully I'll get them this week.
