It was odd stepping foot onto a high school campus today. I'm not sure I have since I graduated high school 11 years ago (yikes!). My family & I went to see my youngest sister graduate from SDA...it was a beautiful SD day - and with only about 320 graduates, the day went relatively quick. What was fun to hear, was each person's 'statement', read by the teachers as they walked up to receive their diploma. Some mentioned what college they were off too, some were lyrics to a song, some were boring and some were just damn funny. It's a unique way to showcase each individual's personality....and didn't take FORever like I had originally thought.
Then after we celebrated at Buca di Beppo (yes, again)...where we ate great Italian food, chatted, laughed (Kapri is such comedy sometimes).
Then of course brought out some amazing cake pops that my other sister, Chelsea, and I made. "Graduation" Cake Pops to be exact. Gaahhh...aren't they soooo cute?!! Their little 'caps' are caramel Ghirardelli squares!
So cute! I saw something similar on pinterest, but it wasn't as cute as yours. My husband is graduating from college in May (15 years after graduating from high school) so I'm throwing him a party. I'll definitely keep this in mind. I'm so glad you shared over at The NY Melrose Family.
